A Quiet Beginning
Kavya & Aashay — Baikay, Lodha New Cuffe Parade
The day began gently, as it should. Baikay, the Mangalorean baby shower, is rooted in care — a moment meant to honour the mother-to-be, her body, and the life growing within. For Kavya and Aashay, the intention was clear from the start: keep it easy, keep it honest. The setting reflected that choice. A subtle maternity shoot unfolded in and around their home at Lodha New Cuffe Parade, moving slowly, allowing pauses, listening to the rhythm of the day. Nothing was rushed, nothing forced — the focus stayed where it belonged.
We began at the Ganpati temple within the property, letting prayer set the tone before the rituals followed. Light filtered softly through familiar spaces as traditions took shape — the ceremonial feeding, blessings passed hand to hand, moments of quiet reassurance shared between generations. Between rituals, we stepped outdoors briefly, framing Kavya against open skies and calm corners of the property, always mindful of comfort. The shoot adapted to her pace, not the other way around, ensuring that ease became part of the images themselves.
As the day unfolded, laughter found its place. Games followed, light and interactive, led by Aashay — a reminder that joy is as much a ritual as prayer. Family gathered closer, conversations overlapped, and anticipation sat gently in the room. At BabyTCompany, this is what we return to — celebrations that centre the human experience above all else. We’re deeply thankful to Humera Pathan for bringing us together on this one. Eternally grateful to witness and preserve a beginning filled with warmth, intention, and love.
